Hairstylist




Amanda Kirker has been with The Salon 16 West for eight years and is one of the hottest prospects around.  She loves creating movement and flow with a little bit of edge. Using a combination of tools - razors, scissors and texturizers - she personalizes every cut. Amanda takes the time to consult each client to come up with exactly what they desire.  A Paul Mitchell-certified Color Expert and a certified Global Keratin stylist. With her expertise and creativity, she can help recreate the style you always dreamed of!
 

 

Christina


Nail Technician and Make up Artist




Christina has lived and worked as a professional nail artist in Orleans for the past 12 years.  She continually perfects her skills through advanced training in the latest techniques.   Christina is a certified CND Master Painter in shellac and a Master Sculptor- for gel nail enhancements. She is passionate about color and enjoy adding nail art to manicures for clients that are looking for something unique. Christina also studies the creative trends of make up application and is available to highlight your best features for any occation.

 

 

Diane


Hairstylist




Diane Gore is one of  the founders of The Salon 16 West. She has been a stylist her whole life and feels that it is her passion. Attending extensive classes and seminars from New York to London, she has trained under Vidal Sasson and Beth Menardi.  Diane continuously educates herself in technical skill, product knowledge and current trends. Most recently, she was certified with Paul Mitchell as a mecolor expert and with Global Keratin's taming system.  

"I learn something every day from 16 west's seriously talented set of stylists," Diane says. She uses many tools, shears, texturizers, razors and clippers.  She loves color and foil and high- and low-lighting of all shades.

Kaleigh


Hairstylist




Kaleigh was trained at The Toni and Guy Institute.  She takes the time to explain what she is doing and why, so clients understand their maintenance requirements and develop realistic expectations.  Her technigues optimize the performance of the styles she creates.  Kaleigh's attention to detail allows her to recreate the styles that her clients desire.  From cut to color, let Kaleigh get you to the look you want.

Marty


Stylist




Marty's passion for making people feel and look beautiful led her to her career as a stylist.  Marty attended cosmetology school in Portland, Maine, a state that has some of the highest standards for aspiring stylists.  She worked in Maine and later attained licenses in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.   Marty's husband, who is from the Cape, was offered a position in his home town and they moved their family back home.  

Melanie


Partner




Melanie was born and raised in Brewster.  She is a UMASS grad with a master's degree in Biomechanics.  After working in that field for several years, she decided to return home to run her mother's business and start a family.  14 years later, she has added another career to the list, Realtor.  "Fostering relationships, whether it's helping people find a home or helping them feel beautiful, is something that I enjoy".   Balancing 2 careers with her husband Brian and their 3 boys, life is full.  "When I'm not working or cheering on my children, I enjoy being outside running, biking or just relaxing on the beach."

The Salon 16 West was fortunate to attain such an "up and coming" star, who has now been with the salon for 6 years. Tania trained at Paul Mitchell The School in Rhode Island, where she received the highest praise.   She also pursued advanced training with the Paul Mitchell System's Team in Las Vegas.   Tania excels at formulating color, foils and creating extravagent styles.   She loves to play with long hair updos and volumizing with layers. Tania is also certified in Global Keratin Taming Systems, a treatment that smooths and revitalizes all hair types, leaving it frizz-free and shiny for 3 to 5 months.
